The UPSURGE project Consortium has just finished the meeting in Passau, Germany. During two days (21-22 Feb) the project partners presented the results of the completed tasks. Everyone also emphasized how much there is still to do. All work packages were thoroughly discussed, and summarized with constructive discussions and clarification of any doubts.
Among other things, the degree of advancement of the NBS interventions in the demo cities, the overall evaluation of NBS’s, as well as the progress of sensors’ installation and related air quality measurements were presented. The progress on ecosystem service modelling and mobile applications was shown, too. Much attention was paid to clarifying and concretizing the tools and services offered by the EU Regenerative Urban Lighthouse. There were also examples of the activities launched by the Place Labs in Katowice, Budapest, Breda, Maribor and Belfast.
We greatly value the opportunity to exchange valuable experiences and meet face-to-face with each other. Finally, the promotion and dissemination of the project’s results was discussed, focusing on what can be done to get the best effects. Thank you colleagues from the University of Passau for the perfect organisation!
