Institute of Communication Studies (ICS) from Macedonia is a scientific-research nonprofit organization in the field of communication and media. ICS offers master’s degrees for Management of Strategic Communications, as well as develops and provides online educational resources and courses. The research component of ICS has a focus to advance sciences and to support the business and the industry through its academic and applied research programs. As part of its consulting activities, ICS develops and implement communication strategies and campaigns, has a vast experience in event planning and management, and has highly experienced media professionals able to create and adapt media content for different media platforms.

ICS works particularly on environmental communication, applying communications approaches and methods to influence environmental policies, raise awareness in the public about the significance of preserving biodiversity and improving the living environment, and empower the Civil Society Organizations, civic initiatives, media, and public institutions to become active guardians of the environment.

Partner involvement in the UPSURGE project

ICS will be mainly included in the communication and dissemination activities through development of an outreach strategy and providing adequate communication tools and channels to ensure ongoing interest, high participation rate, awareness and active involvement of all stakeholders and key target groups.
